Any idea what my STARTING credit score will be with only 1 credit account good standing, nothing else at all?

  • I haven't had my card for 6 months yet but my report just updated and there's never been any negatives and the inquiries aren't on it no more. Im looking for a ballpark estimate or something cuz im very, very curious about it.

  • If you pay in full each month, I don't see why you would not have the highest score posible in just 6 months.

If you carry balances your credit will get all messed up, since paying the minimum and carrying balances reduces your credit worthiness.

  • If you haven't had that only credit card account for at least 6 months, you don't have a score. Credit card accounts don't count in your score calculation till they are at least 6 months old.

If you have been using that credit card and paying in full every month, you will be building a good payment history. But it takes time to build a good score. Even if you build that single account payment history to a decent score, you will still have problems qualifying for loans due to your limited credit.

Don't obsess over your score. It is only a very small part of the credit decision. What shows on your credit report is much more important.
