Never quite got the hang of this, but when using promotions, eg X amount of posts and X amount of rep to promote people to new user groups.... _IF_ one of the criteria drops, eg, their rep point goes below the threshold, are they demoted/removed from the usergroup they were added to?
I guess this is how it should work, but just double checking. Thanks for replying Sockwater... but that doesn't 'downgrade' as such as they still have the other group.
Doesn't matter now tho!You can only do downgrades via reputation atm. Thanks both.
I think that should just about work for what I want.
Shame promotions are not built with this two-way functionality in mind tho, ie, if someone meets the criteria they're in, but if they drop below the criteria they're out...A promotion just does one thing - it promotes according to the criteria, like more than x reputation points. If you wish to demote someone, then you need to write a new promotion that 'demotes' you from that one usergroup, like for less than x reputation points. This will move registered users to a "users with low rep" group when their reputation falls below 5.
