I sing very well, but would like to be able to hit higher notes. I understand that, genetically, there is a limit to how high I can sing, but I do not feel that I have hit it. I would like to be able to sing higher notes, and by that, I mean in my full voice, not in falsetto. I would also like to learn how to make the break between my chest voice and my falsetto voice smoother. I understand there are both healthy and unhealthy ways to do this, but have had no vocal training. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.Have someone step on your foot, hard! LOLBasically you need to work on scales, each day try them and see if you can get higher.
Also you need correct breath support, so breathe right down into your stomach and let it out gradually when you sing (that might help with the break between chest and falsetto. I have trouble with that too.)
Most of all, just keep at it as it won't happen right away.
I'm a singer and I find that singing lessons really help. The teacher will explain how proper breathing works etc.
Good Luck!Well for starters you should know how complex singing is. It takes a lot of practice to improve your voice even the slightest. But the plus to this is that the rumor you always hear about having to be born with the talent, is absolutely not true. Your voice is an instrument and you can train it to do amazing things. First I would suggest doing breathing exercises as often as you can to make sure you are singing properlyy from your diaphragm and not your lungs, you don't want to damage your vocal chords. You can do breathing exercises such as pretending to suck through a straw, dog panting, inhaling deeply and pretending to blow out a candle slowly. These will also help expand the amount of air you can hold and will allow you to sing for longer periods of time. There is no limit to singing, you just need the right techniques for training your self. For breaking out of your chest/head voice just practice everyday warm ups and do them all the time. Try to sing different variations of songs because they will improve your vocals a lot quicker than just working on one certain song. Try searching you tube for examples of exercises and when you find some practice them al the time. If you are looking for a program to train you to sing better I highly suggest singing success by brett manning, but it is fairly difficult so make sure you have a fairly good range in your vocals. This program is guaranteed to make you move up one full octave range. good luck!#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
