  • what type of grain should i use for deer hunting with a 7mm-08?

  • I typically use 140 grain. You can go lighter though. Probably down to 120 grains is the lowest I would use

  • a laser beam.

  • nice rifle I would stay any from much under 120 and any thing you shoot well with is acceptable 150,165,180,

  • Dried corn works pretty well for baiting deer and hogs.

  • Corn usually brings 'em in well, although if the deer are hunting with a 7mm-08 you have bigger problems to worry about.

For the rifle I'd suggest a standard 140gr load.

  • I am 12 years old and I myself use a 7mm-08.I have killed 4 deer in three weeks and my dad always buys me the Federal Premium 140. grain ballistic tip cartridges. It is a good grain bullet.I have dropped 3 of my deer and one of those from 200 yds.All in all they are good bullets.

    Sincerely,
    Daulton
